This Indenture made the Eighteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight between Abraham Page of Muncey Creek township County of Lycoming County [sic] and State of Pennsylvania yeoman and Christiana his

wife of the one part and Elizabeth Bower of Fairfield township County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth That the said Abraham Page and Christiana his wife for and in consideration of the sum of ___ ______red and twenty eight Dollars and Seventy cents lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and duly paid by the said Elizabeth Bower ____ before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained sold ____ enpossessed released conveyed and confirmed and ______ these presents Do grant bargain sell alien enpossess release convey and [emfiscate?] the said Elizabeth Bower her heirs and assigns All that certain messuage and tract of land situate in the township of Fairfield aforesaid bounded and described by the following course and distance Beginning at a post thence south thirty nine and a half degrees East ____ty nine perches to a pine. Thence West seventy eight perches to a post. Thence North seven perches to a black oak thence west eighty four perches and seven tenths Thence North forty six perches to a post and thence East one hundred and eighteen perches and seven tenths to the place of beginning Containing forty two acres one hundred and forty four perches and being part and parcel of a larger tract of land which Wm. C. Ellis and Rebecca his wife by Indenture duly created bearing date and recorded in the office for recording of Deeds for Lycoming County did grant and confirm unto Abm Page party hereto and to his heirs and assigns forever relation being had to said deed at large appear Together with all and singular the improvements woods ways waters [water?] courses rights liberties privileges ________ments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging on in anywise appertaining and the reversions and remainders into ________ profits thereof and all the state right title interest property claim and demands whatsoever of them the said Abraham Page and Christiana his wife in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof To have and to hold the said messuage and tract of land hereditaments and premises as hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances to the said Elizabeth Bower her heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of her the said Elizabeth Bower her heirs and assigns forever. And the said Abraham Page for himself his heirs executors and administrations Doth by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said Elizabeth Bower her heirs and assigns that he the said Abraham Page and his heirs all and singular for the hereditaments and premises here__ _____ described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Elizabeth Bower her heirs and assigns against him the said Abraham Page and his heirs ____ against all and every other person or persons whosoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any____ thereof by from or under him therein many of _____ and will ______ ______ forever Defend In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents have ______ interchangeable set their hands and seals Dated the day and year first above written. Abraham Page [his seal] Christiana Page [her seal] Sealed and delivered in the presence of S. Schuyler. Received the day and date of the above written Indenture of and from the above noted Elizabeth Bower the sum of one hundred and twenty eight Dollars & seventy cents it being the consideration money above mentioned in full. Abraham Page witness present at signing S. Schulyer, Lycoming County. On the Eighteenth day of April Anno Domini 1838 before me S. Schuyler one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County personally appeared the above named Abraham Page and Christiana his wife and in due form of law acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desired the same might be received in such and the said Christiana being of full age and separate and apart from here husband by me thereon privately examined and the full contents of the above Deed by ____ first made known unto here and thereupon declare and say that she did agree _____ and of her own free will and accord sign seal and as her act and deed date on the above written Indenture Deed or Conveyance without any coercion or persuasion of her said husband.
