GLENMONT- On Jn. 26, 1913, Miss Elnora Bower and Dale Barnes wereunited in marriage at the home of C. C. Smith, who was at that timeserving as preacher of Union Grove Church of Christ.
On Sunday, Jan. 20, 1963, Mr and Mrs Barnes celebrated their 50thwedding anniversary at the home of their son, John v. Barnes in Glenmont.
Open house was observed from 2-5 p.m. Many relatives and friendscalled. Guests were served from a table decorated with a tiered cake.Their granddaughters presided at the refreshment table.
Besides their son, Mr. and Mrs Barnes have three granddaughters andfour great-grandchildren.
