Louisa lived in Dorsetshire (?Middlesex) according to shipping lists).
She departed Southhampton on 23rd May 1857 on the Hornet and arrived
in Melbourne 2nd September 1857. George was "engaged" on his own
account. They went to live in King Street, Melbourne. George was a
mason by trade. He could read and write. Louisa could read but not
write. The family were Methodist. Louisa died of "senile dementia
and decay" according to her death certificate at 62 Barkly Street,
Fitzroy. She was buried at Boroondara Cemetery Kew by Wesleyan rites.
Children listed on her death certificate were Elizabeth 54, George 53,
Maria 50, Louisa 45, Walter 42, Frederick 39, Nathaniel 37.
Certificate says she was born in Swanage, England and in Victoria
about 42 years. She was married in Swanage at about 21 years to
George Bower.
