George Bowers

 

George Bowers of Scituate, MA in 1637, of Plymouth, MA in 1639, of Cambridge, MA in 1640. He was born in England and died 30 Dec 1656 Cambridge, MA. He married Barbara Smythe 9 Feb 1614/15 in Braithwell, Yorkshire, England. She died 25 March 1644 in Cambridge, MA. George married 2nd, in 1649, Elizabeth Worthington. They had a son,

Generation II.

Reverend John Bowers was born about 1629 in Dorset, England. He made his will in Derby, NH, CT and is dated 14 June 1687. John's first wife was Rebecca Grigson, having married her 14 July 1652 in Woodbury, CT. He married second, Bridget Thompson, daughter of Anthony and Mary (Welby) Thompson. Bridget was born 1636 and died 19 May 1720 in Derby, NH, CT. She married 2nd, William Hoadley.

Generation III.

Samuel Bowers was born 5 Nov 1665 in New Haven, New Haven, CT, and died in 1744. He married Ruth, daughter of Edward Wooster. He married 2nd, Lydia French, on 4 Nov 1691 in Derby, New Haven County, CT. She was born 28 Sept 1670 in Derby, New Haven County, CT, the daughter of Francis & Lydia (Bunnell) French.

Generation IV.

Lydia Bowers was born 1 Aug 1692 in Derby, New Haven County, CT [Derby vital records], and died 9 Dec 1772 at aged 81 [Wallingford vital records]. Lydia married 31 Dec 1717 in Derby, New Haven, CT [Derby vital records] Israel Moss, son of John & Martha (Lathrop) Moss. He was born 31 Dec 1696 in Wallingford, New Haven, CT, and died 15 Apr 1757 in Cornwall, CT.

Their son, Nathaniel Moss, married Mary Dorchester. He was a Revolutionary War soldier.
