He entered the employ of the Warner Iron Works as a bookkeeper in 1906, and rose to the position of General Manager of the same company. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and was a member of the Knights of Pythias & was a mason belonging to Trinity Consistory No.2. Maggie: Paul also belonged to Almina Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. at Nashville, TN. Maggie's father, Thomas, was a prominent farmer of Cumberland Furnace, who was connected with the large wholesale firm of Jackson, Matthews & Harris of Nashville, TN.
