John Bower is my husband's paternal great grandfather who came over from somewhere in Germany I know not when. The original name was Bauer. John was born in 1833 and died in 1912. |

Elizabeth is Great-Grampa's daughter. She married Charles Bradley. They moved to western Canada but evidently returned to the London area. The Bradley's owned a grocery store on the road to Fanshawe, a city that no longer exists. I will soon be getting pictures of those buildings from the same fellow in London. He, as a child, rode the horse and buggy with his mom to the store past the Bower homestead. Elizabeth's brother, George, reverted back to the Bauer spelling but the rest seem to have stayed with the change to Bower. Submitted by Lita Bower [25Dec01] |
