Grace J. Talbot, 86

WAKEFIELD -- Grace J. Talbot of 24-A Harts Hill Road, Wakefield, passed away Sunday, February 5, in the Malden Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born in Melrose on March 11, 1902, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Hattie Bower.

Mrs. Talbot attended the Wakefield Schools. She was very family oriented, helping her husband Thomas Talbot, who died in 1948, in the operation of his coal and oil business.

She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Dorothy) Hay of Monroe, New York, Mrs. Raymond (Grace) Doucette of Wakefield, Mrs. William (Edna) Doherty of Stoneham, Mrs. Frank (Katherine) Murphy and Mrs. Manuel (Elizabeth) Souza, both of Wakefield, Mrs. Mort (Eleanor) Rosen of Haverhill; and two sons, Thomas Talbot of St. Charles, Missouri and George Talbot of Tewksbury. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.

Funeral from the Butler Funeral Home, 50 Albion St., Wakefield on Wednesday, February 8 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the family lot at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.

Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
